Most of our clients go through the USDA Mutual Self–Help housing program, where neighbors contribute “sweat-equity” to build their community together. This program provides an opportunity to purchase a new home with no money down and minimal additional out-of-pocket expenses. Let’s take a closer look.

Things to consider:

  1. The Self-Help Program takes two years to complete. There is a waiting list.
  2. Participants must contribute a minimum of 600 hours of “sweat equity” in the construction of their homes and the homes of their future neighbors.
  3. In order to qualify, you must be a first-time homeowner, and meet our income requirements.
